The present state of the world today
is a false reality; and we have to pay?
By seeking what's true and real within
A beautiful journey will begin.
What are we here for if not each other?
There's no reason to hide, remove your cover
Judgements and standards can create fear
But have no meaning in why we are here.
Power and money bring evil and pain
To some, these hold value but bring no real gain.
Don't you see these things are so vain?
What is the point of creating that life
Bringing about worry, sorrow, and strife.
Once we can learn to let go of control
We'll find inner peace and strengthen our soul
It's not about preaching or religious views
It's something wonderful inside of you.
God creates no evil, humans are to blame
So, why, I ask, should I play your little game?
It's not what you can plan or make happen somehow, someway
It's leaving that up to God, and living day by day
The misconception here, that people just don't see
It's the importance of love- and understanding, I just want to be me
It's not about breaking rules and having no expectations,
It's about helping each other, uniting many nations
Don't you see that no matter how hard we try
Things just seem to happen and time keeps slipping by
We're doomed for failure if we plan our fate
But the good thing is it's never too late.
Trust your faith and begin to grow
A beautiful mystery will begin to unfold
Most people don't realize they're ignoring Him.
They look down on others, who, to them, live in "sin"
Worry and judgement block their minds
"Rebels" of society are driven to commit crimes.
Humans wouldn't be human if we didn't make mistakes
We're doomed for struggles and painful heartaches.
And through this salvation we begin to learn
More important things are of our concern
God gives you knowledge, wisdom, and hope
With faith so empowering you know you can cope.
Through the powerful minds of the misled
Who don't even realize it's their spirit that's dead.
Follow what's real and what's true to your heart
Because really, what is it that drives us apart?
When our minds are in action, our conscious is blocked
Our spirit is weak and our hearts are locked.
And what is the truth, if not a fact?
That common people unknowingly lack.
Something that is certainly divine;
With no sense or logic, no reason or rhyme
But still this mystery can be explained
If the truth behind it can be maintained.
It's from within yourself that peace and meaning are found
It's understanding what you can do, you have no bounds
It's something we fail to notice, before time, before money
Open your mind and understand me, don't think its funny.
The source of your existence is not what you're taught
It's much greater than that, it has to be sought.
I seek and understanding of why I'm on this earth
Since the beginning of my existence, since before my birth.
My greatest wish for all people is simply to be happy
In a world that will suck you in and make you feel all crappy
Never stop listening to that voice deep inside
Never let your true self run away and hide
What is an opinion if it keeps us from sharing love?
What makes us so sure we're right? It's a game of push and shove
There's no greater knowledge than that of the wise
The world is mistaken, living so many lies.
To know God is to be one with all that is
What's yours is mine and hers and his
It's really finding wonder and beauty all around
To hear the birds chirping, a beautiful sound.
So maybe what's important to you isn't important to me
Remember this verse; the truth will set you free...
Life is only stressful because we've made it that way
Are you really living, or is it just another day?
Being at one with all that lives
Is the precious gift that God gives
The simple truth that we are here
confirms in my heart there's nothing to fear
God is all around, we just fail to see
He's everywhere, He's in you, He's in me
Love all people, black and white
Embrace the morning sun and the moon at night.
Love the trees and the wonder in it all
Love the winter, spring, summer, and fall
Listen to the serene sounds of outside
From the howling winds to the ocean tide.
Say a prayer when the sun goes down
The stars and moon hung over the town.
Devote your entire being to this glory
And He will begin to tell you a story...

If I could tell the world one thing
I don't know what it'd be.
And if I tried and tried all day
I still don't think you'd see.
And if I ever wanted to enough to risk my pride
I'd try my best to open up
But then I'd run and hide.
I'd tell you all my thoughts
I'd tell you what's in my mind
And if you listen closely
You'll be surprised at what you find.
If I could tell the world one thing
I don't know what it'd be
I'd try to say something profound
Deep inside of me
But then I sit and ponder
The beauty and the wonder
Maybe we should just be silent
And try to listen instead
Maybe we should start to feel-
quit living in our head.
The truth is something rare.
Found only by those who search
Found only by those who care.

Dusk to Dawn

Everyday goes by so fast
They just dont seem to last
Another year has come and gone
And dusk keeps turning into dawn.
The sound of the alarm and I must wake
Another day of crap I must take.
And do you ever wonder why
we let our lives pass us by?
Another day has come and gone
And dusk keeps turning into dawn.
The world has become a race
And I can't keep up with the pace.
We are so conditioned to be a certain way
We don't even realize we've gone astray.
And what is life, if not a test?
To realize that we really are blessed.
We go to "work" and wish we weren't there
and deal with people all day who just don't care.
Another day has come and gone
And dusk keeps turning into dawn.
For the love of money and power
Has clearly made the world turn sour.
We're completely blind to the way we live.
We don't see the love that God has to give.
We wake up everyday and watch it go by
We still don't even realize we're living a lie...
